Who is This Broad?

Hi, my name is GINA

I’m from the fish shaped land of Long Island, New York but travel back and forth to Lakeland, Florida for school. (Not anymore!)

So currently my life, wardrobe, and friends are divided in two special states

(Nah, everything made it back in my closet. Except for my friends and life. Life can’t be shoved in a closet.)

But all of that will soon be changing by the impending doom, I mean, excitement of graduation! (Been there, done that). So consider this temporarily a pre-grad  a post-grad  perspective to life in this world. Now that I am back I work on staff at The Point Church as the Executive Assistant. We have two campuses so far and are already conjuring the plans for our third location. One thing is for sure. I love what I do and the people that I am surrounded by.

Truly I believe life is what you make it. It is filled with the greatest moments that usually occur unscripted, unpredicted, and sometimes even unnoticed. Everyday provides episodes of learning, growth, and freedom if you allow it and open your eyes to see it. Instead of looking into the dark I choose to turn the light on in the room and see God in my daily situations- whether funny, joyful, troubled, sad, creative, exciting, lonely or lovely.

Each day I am inspired by something new and I don’t want to miss the opportunity to share it. I’m a firm believer of embellishing on the ‘little things’ in life- and that is what this blog is all about.

So as I try to make my way around as one person out of the world’s population of 6.9 billion, I hope you can laugh with me or laugh at me, think with me, relate with me or maybe even be inspired.

  1. I love your updating of your ‘about me’; it’s always difficult to try to explain one’s self in a succinct way that is timeless, so it makes much more sense to update as life changes.

  2. Hello!
I enjoyed reading your stories and I also share your fascination with the subtle everyday lessons revealed to us! I’ve been to Long Island a few times and was surprised that it was so,well, “normal”… as opposed to the other Burroughs I saw. If I didn’t know I’d think I was in any other American city, (I can’t say the same thing about Jersey or Brooklyn)

Take Care and consider yourself invited to visit my blog!

  3. Saw your note over on Urban Hippie’s blog and I’m so glad I clicked. I immediately smiled seing your “September” post (a fave Earth, Wind, & Fire fa-la-la-la-la), loved your art and art cheerleading, and then saw your connection to Lakeland .. lived there many many years ago and my brother attended Florida Southern. Love the synchronicities; just subscribed. High fives on a wonderful blog; glad to have found it!

  4. Loving your blog! Hi! So a while back you subscribed to my blog and I never got to say THANK YOU!
